Tunbridge Wells Borough Council  Solar Panels Install

We won a tender to install a 100kWp PV system to the barrelled roof over the Tennis Courts at Tunbridge Wells Sports Centre.

The Council wanted to go through planning permission, and we provided all the information and CAD drawings necessary for a successful application.

The installation consists of 400 ReneSola 250W panels, linked to six Samil Power inverters. The panels are secured to the roof using the Novotegra Trapezoidal mounting short rail system.

This solar PV installation is an exciting step in the implementation of our carbon management plan and represents an appropriate us for the technology and a good investment. This system will provide a source of clean energy for the tennis centre for the next 25 years, it will pay back our investment and provide a source of income in the future

Councillor Barrington-King

The whole installation was completed in under four weeks and included an electrical upgrade to the distribution board. This upgrade was carried out overnight to eliminate any impact to the operation of the centre.

We also mounted a bespoke display in the reception area, this display has the Councils and Centre Operators logos printed on the glass, and shows instantaneous power, total power, and CO2 Offset.

This system should offset around 30% of the Sports Centre Requirements.

This system has a GSM Generation meter that allows the Council to remotely view the generation and enables for an easy way to track the production on a regular basis and compare year on year production.
