Commissioned to install a Daikin Altherma Hybrid air source heat pump as part of upgrade work to the heating system including fitting of underfloor heating.

Heat pump systems work really well with underfloor heating systems.

The Daikin Altherma hybrid heat pump is a unique combination of a high efficiency gas combi boiler and renewable energy air-to-water heat pump. The boiler and heat pump can run in combination or in isolation, to maximise energy-efficiency and minimise running costs

The Outdoor unit of the heat pump was mounted on brackets above the conservatory, FGAS pipework was run vertically up the wall into the loft area where the hybrid indoor unit is located. A new mini-distribution board was located beside the main unit in the garage. Cables were run out of the garage and up into the loft area, where the main isolation points for the ASHP are located. An electricity meter and a heat meter was supplied for RHI purposes.
