Central Bedfordshire Council – Multiple PV Framework

In October 2014 Ecosphere Renewables were awarded a place on the Central Bedfordshire Solar PV Installation framework alongside 4 other companies that scored highly during the pre-qualification questionnaire and tender process.

Projects were then secured by means of a mini tender process based on quality and price. Via this process Ecosphere Renewables have secured 17 projects to date with a total installed capacity of over 362kWp. The sites included schools, libraries, care centres, Central Bedfordshire’s head office, a County Court and a Country Park visitor centre.

The combined generation of the sites are estimated to produce over 290,000 kWh and will reduce the Councils Carbon footprint by 150 tonnes of CO2 per annum.

All projects were installed on schedule and with minimal disruption to the sites daily activities.

Secured projects included;

Ampthill Court House, Clipstone Brook School, Haynes Lower School, Houghton Regis Library, Maythorn Care Home, Linsell House, Maple Tree Lower School, Priory House, Rushmere Country Park, Silsoe Horticultural Centre, Toddington Library, Townsend Centre, Caddington Village School, Flitwick Library, Parkfields Middle School, Ramsey Manor School, Biggleswade Library
